Pin Up

Creo que todos, absolutamente todos, sin importar estatura, talla, color de piel, cabello u ojos, tenemos un lado sensual y alguna vez, por lo menos, deberíamos explorarlo. El mío estaba oculto, muy oculto detrás de capas de seriedad, timidez y cero flexibilidad jeje… 

La idea de hacer estas fotos nació hace casi un año cuando recorriendo una serie de blogs me topé con uno especialmente entusiasta de lo vintage -me encantaría recordar el nombre- y donde su autora realizó una serie de fotografías inspiradas en las sensuales chicas de calendario y alentaba a sus lectoras a explorar la parte sensual de sus personalidades. Me convenció.

A decir verdad, si me iba a embarcar en una ruta exploratoria de este tipo definitivamente tenía que tomar el camino de lo vintage pues no me imagino tratando hacer, ni siquiera sola y frente al espejo, una pose sexy al estilo Victoria’s Secret :S  

Así que me armé de valor y tomé la decisión de hacer las fotos como regalo de aniversario para mi esposo y de esta manera empezó la planeación secreta. El equipo: mi cuñada, hermana de mi esposo, encargada del peinado y maquillaje; mi mejor amiga, la fotógrafa, a cargo de las imágenes, la utilería y por supuesto el photoshop jeje; y yo, modelo y diseñadora de vestuario.  

Esta es una probadita, las demás son sólo para los ojos de mi esposo ;)

I think we all have, regardless of height, weight or color, a sensual side and sometimes at least, we should explore it. Mine was hidden, very hidden behind layers of shyness. The idea of making these pictures was born almost a year ago when I went through a series of blogs and I came across one particularly enthusiastic about everything vintage – I wish I could remember its name- and where the author made a series of photos inspired by the sexy calendar girls of the 50’s and encouraged her readers to also explore the sensual side of their personalities. She convinced me. 

But, if I was to embark on a exploration of this type definitely I had to take the path of vintage because I can not imagine my self trying to do, in front of the mirror and alone, a sexy pose a la Victoria's Secret.

So I took the plunge and decided to make the photographs as an anniversary gift for my husband, and so began the secret planning. The team: my husband’s sister, in charge of hair and makeup; my best friend, the photographer, in charge of the pics, props and of course the photoshop lol, and me, model and costume designer.

This is a little taste; the rest of the photos are for my hubby’s eyes only ;)
